Keezel takes your privacy very seriously and treats all your personal information with great care. Keezel always acts in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation.
We will protect your personal information in accordance with the principles set out by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This document describes the types of data about you that Keezel collects as well as the manner in which these data are processed. Keezel therefore recommends that you read this Privacy Statement carefully.
1. Who is Keezel?
Keezel.co provides a device that uses VPN technology to secure your Internet connection and thus greatly improve your online privacy & security.
AvocadoNinja B.V. trading as Keezel is a limited liability company registered under the laws of the Netherlands, having its statutory seat in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and its office at (1055 RW) Amsterdam at the Bos en Lommerplein 290. Keezel is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under file number 62658506. The manner in which your personal data are processed has bee reported to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (‘Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens’).
2. What information do we process, and for what purposes do we process that information?
Ordering the Device
To complete your purchase of the Device, Keezel needs certain information about you so that the Device can be delivered at the delivery address. For that purpose, you are required to fill in certain fields on the Website.
After you have filled in the abovementioned information, you will continue to the payment information website. To complete your payment, you are required to fill in your payment information.
Automatically generated information
For the Website to optimally function, Keezel requires certain information. For that purpose, Keezel collects automatically generated information about your use of the Website and the Services.
- NOTE: Keezel does not store the Data that you have used, nor the length, frequency or timestamp of your sessions. Keezel does not know what you do online with your Device and does not analyze your online behavior when using the Keezel device.
- The Keezel device does send data consumption information in the form of MB used since last data-usage report. This information is not stored to your identity. The reason for storing the amount of data is for accounting reasons, since Keezel pays its VPN partners based on the amount of data sent over their networks. The data usage information cannot be traced back to you.
- We will not share your identity with our VPN partners, unless forced to do so under national or international laws and regulations. In case we are unable to link the request to the identity or a Keezel user, we will report that we are unable to make the link between said session and user identity.
3. Who has access to information about you?
We handle your personal data discreetly and will process the personal data only for our own purposes. We will never sell or give your personal data to third parties, without your explicit consent. We will only transfer your personal data to third parties if that is necessary for us to fulfill our obligations toward you.
We collect automatically generated information for statistical purposes. This information tells us how well our websites are functioning. This information may be provided to third parties, but only if this information can not be traced back to you.
We may also provide your data to third parties if we are obliged to do so under national or international laws and regulations. In case we do not possess requested information we will report an empty document to requesting party.
4. About your rights
Right to information
If you want to know what personal information we have collected about you, you can request Keezel to provide an overview of you personal data by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will provide you with an overview of the information we collect about you within 4 weeks.
Rectification and erasure
If you believe the information we process is incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete, you may ask us to change or remove such information, by sending an email to email@example.com. We will reply to your request within 4 weeks. If we decide not to honor your request, we will explain our decision to you in our reply.
Right to object
If you want us to remove the information we have about you, you may send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. In this email you can state your interest in removing the data. We will reply to your request within 4 weeks. If your request is legitimate, we will remove or anonymize the information. If we decide not to honor your request, we will explain our decision to you in our reply.
5. How do we protect your personal data?
We take all necessary technical and organizational measures to protect your (personal) information against loss or any form of unlawful use. Where possible, your personal data are encrypted and stored on a private server that is secured by means of state of the art protection measures. A strictly limited amount of people have access to your personal data. Additionally, we periodically review our data model to see if it is operationally possible to store less identity or device related information.
6. Analytics services and cookies
Keezel uses various analytics services, such as, Google Analytics, Optimizely, Hotjar and tracking integrated in Shopify (the e-commerce platform we use).
7. Transfer of personal data to other countries
For many of our business purposes we use cloud based services. Therefore, for technical and organizational reasons, it may be necessary that your personal information is transferred to servers located in the US, or to servers located in other countries outside of the European Economical Area. Since privacy protection regulations in these countries may not be of a sufficient level, we will ensure that your personal information will only be sent to parties and/or countries with an adequate level of personal data protection.

Our website may contain links to websites we do not control. Therefore we will not be liable for the content of these websites, nor for the processing of personal data that may occur on these websites.
